Any suggestions for an acid reflux diet please!?

I am trying to loose weight but alot of foods and the moderation are really hard on my stomach with my acid reflux. Even if I take my reflux meds I still don’t know what to eat.

Any suggestions?


The inflammation of the esophagus caused by the regurgitation of the content of the stomach is known as acid reflux or reflux esophagitis. The most recognized symptom of acid reflux is heartburn. The acid from the stomach backs up into the esophagus causing the person to experience heartburn. The medications or treatment of acid reflux is based only on the control of the acid. The effects of these medicines are shorter, requiring the patient to take the medicine with two to three hours interval only.

Acid reflux remedies are increasing and are classified as natural or synthetic. Drugs are sometimes not necessary to solve the problem of acid reflux. According to some, medicine does not solve the problem of acid reflux. The fact is it actually makes the condition worst. Proton pump inhibitors, H2 block agents, and antacids are some of the treatments used to cure acid reflux. To explain further, drugs reduce the amount of hydrochloric acid in the stomach. Because of this, it diminishes the ability of the stomach to digest food properly. As the stomach acid reduces, the risk of food poisoning is higher. This is because the defense mechanism of the body against food borne infections is also reduced. Improper digestion of food would increase the risk of having chronic degenerative diseases.

What if any Home Remedies for Acid Reflux work?

My acid reflux has been kicking my butt lately and I am getting tired of taking the “purple crack”.
I have heard that their are home remedies that work and are very inexpensive compared to the over the counter and perscription drugs.
If you have had any success with anything please respond.

heart or acid reflux after alcohol drinking?

i get really bad left chest pain the day after drinking alcohol…i usually drink about 6 drinks when i go out from like 8-2am. ..is the pain most likely my heart or acid reflux, two doctors says it’s acid reflux but im worried it’s my heart and yes i need to cut back.
