What is Acid Reflux? Acid Reflux is also known as GERD, Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease. So what causes it? Its cause is said to be complex. There almost certainly are numerous causes, and diverse causes may be found in many patients or even in the same individual at various times. It is characterized in that a small number of patients with GERD produce unusually large amounts of stomach acid, but this is unusual and not a contributing factor in most patients.
The causes of Acid Reflux are found in the lower esophageal sphincter, hiatal hernias, emptying of the stomach, and esophageal contractions. The lower esophageal sphincter or (LES) is possibly the most significant factor for preventing reflux. The esophagus is a muscular tube that extends from the lower throat to the stomach. The LES is a particular ring of muscle that surrounds the lower-most end of the esophagus where it connects to the stomach.

Acid reflux, also known as Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD), can be extremely painful and long lasting. If not treated properly and in a timely manner, it could cause major damage. The condition extensively affects the esophagus.
It occurs when the acid of the stomach builds up in the esophagus disrupting the lining of the organ. Treatment for acid reflux often depends on how severe the damage has evolved; to include life- style changes, medication, or surgery.

How do I get rid of acid reflux and heartburn without drugs? I’m worried about hiatal hernia, ulcers, bile reflux and other complications of acid reflux… I have severe heartburn and possibly acid reflux disease. I do not want to start the horrible, harmful drugs and antacids, as I’ve heard that they can actually worsen my acid reflux over time. I’m looking for a natural cure or remedy that will not only stop the heartburn and acid reflux, but also something that will cure it forever??? Is it possible to naturally treat acid reflux or are the treatments always drugs?

Apple cider vinegar and getting rid of heartburn? The two don’t seem to go together. In fact, the thought of drinking even the smallest amount of vinegar when acid is backwashing into your throat and esophagus sounds counterproductive. Vinegar has a high acid content. You want to curb the acid. Why would you expect apple cider vinegar to do the job?
Apple cider vinegar is a folk remedy for getting rid of heartburn. In fact, it is the TOP folk remedy for heartburn and acid reflux.

Systemic yeast infections or candida may well be the unknown epidemic of the day and are most often caused by the use of antibiotics. Systemic yeast infections (fungus) are extremely difficult to detect and kill. New information about the underlying cause of yeast infection — a relatively new branch of medical science — is discovering that chronic intestinal and systemic yeast infections are at the root of a host of medical problems including chronic fatigue, allergies, chronic infections, and many, many others. And, as you might expect, these intestinal and systemic yeast infections are also the source of other recurrent and chronic yeast infection conditions such as dandruff and vaginal yeast infection.
It is speculated that 80%-90% of the population is affected by a candida or a systemic yeast infection (men, women and children). If you are very disciplined you may have even tried the infamous candida diet, which attempts to “starve” the candida by depriving it of the foods that are easily converted to the sugar that feeds systemic yeast infections (Low Carb or the GI). Many diseases are often misdiagnosed in humans when the actual underlying cause is Candida Albicans (a systemic yeast infection). Some of the diseases a systemic yeast infection can cause are:arthritis, gout, chronic fatigue syndrome, fibromyalgia, high cholesterol, crohns disease, irritable bowel syndrome, asthma, allergies, acid reflux, arteriosclerosis, psoriasis, eczema, roscea, hives, acne, dandruff, depression. Most of these diseases are of an “unknown” cause.
