I’ve been treating my 2 month old for acid reflux with Zantac for one week now. Before we started the medicine he was awake for five or six hour periods during the day, sleep for 20-30 mins top about twice. Sometimes he would get in two hours at a time. Putting him down for the night was terrible. He fussed a lot and just couldn’t calm down to go to sleep until after three hours or so. He was fussy throughout the day as well. He wouldn’t take a pacifier either until this week. My son has been this way ever since we brought him home.

Since starting Zantac and especially just the last two days. My son spends most of his time sleeping however he’s not lethargic. He was awake for two hours this morning and four hours this afternoon. It’s now 8pm and he’s been sleeping since 6:30p. His eating has gone down some but is still eating good. Taking 4 oz bottles every four hours where before it was 4-6 ounces every 2-3hrs.
This is my first child so I can only compare to his behavior from before and I had thought before was normal.

My mother was suddenly afflicted by acid reflux 4 days ago. Now, she gets it every night before sleeping. That’s why I’m looking for some natural cures. If you people know of any, could you share some? Thanks for your time. God bless.

Death to acid reflux. May it die and go to Hell.

I’ve been trying to find a good recipe that I can cook for friday. I decided that I should make something in a crock pot because then I can put it together and let it cook all day then I’ll have enough time to get the house prepared for our guest that is coming on Saturday. I was looking through my recipes that I already have and I decided that I’m going to make something I have never made before. So does anyone have any crockpot recipes that your willing to share?

The recipe cannot have tomatoes, cheese and it cannot be spicy cause I have ulcers and acid reflux.

I take 40mg of Prozac in the morning…
I DO eat before I take my medication, by the way.

I haven’t been able to eat any home made food lately I’ve been eating in restaurants every single day.

I normally eat and maybe an hour later I have brutal heart burn I always have to take a swig of milk and eat 5 or 6 tums and that usually takes care of it.

But this is after almost every meal im getting really sick of this heart burn!

Had an acid reflux flare up….?

It’s been a week on Zantac, and I started to feel better a couple days ago. Today, I tried a little coffee, and it made me feel crappy again. How long should I be avoiding offending foods…before I can try to introduce them again? I have another 5 wks with the Zantac.
This is all really new to me. The Dr gave me Zantac and sent me on my way. Most of what I am finding out is online or thru others with acid reflux.
What I would like to know from those of you with acid reflux….is when you have a flare up–what’s the protocol? You avoid offending foods…but for how long? I know some of you avoid them totally…but this is my first episode, so I don’t know. I have heard 2 wks and 1 month. So, I am assuming, 1 wk was too soon for coffee?
