I think it was the summer of last year, and I was drinking so much soda. Like 1-2 bottles a day for almost 2-3 months or longer. And a few months later, I started feeling like I wanted to throw up after I ate, especially at night. It went away after I stopped drinking soda, but about a year later, it’s back. Do I have acid reflux? Thanks, 10 points to the best answer.
I’m only 13.
Actually, I just turned 14.

I went to the doctor on Valentine’s day with chest pains I’d been having for a week. She said its acid reflux and gave me Nexium for 15 days. It all seemed offset by a drink I had at dinner. She told me no alcohol until we figure out how to control it. I don’t have to go back for 3 months, and I can’t afford to go back just to hear her tell me how to control it. So, does anyone know how to avoid it acting up? Like I said, mine seems offset by alcohol. Although I can avoid alcohol, I don’t like being restricted to it either. Can anyone suggest anything? She mentioned Pepcid AC and Zantac 75, but only breifly.
I had blood tests back in September for something else. I’m guessing anemia would have shown up somewhere there I guess. I know alcohol brings it about because out of curiosity I drank a wine cooler and the initial neck pain started but went away I guess because of the Nexium. So can Prilosec control it? Is that over the counter?
Food has never brought it about. The food has only made me feel worse once it came about. I’m avoiding all of those things, but my question is for OTC meds that can help me control it so I’m not so restricted to what I consume.
I have been to a doctor. My reflux is different…there’s no burning, only neck and chest pain. I do not have insurance, and my doctor didn’t act like it was much of a problem. I have never even experienced this problem until I turned 21 (Feb. 5th) and had a drink with dinner. Food doesn’t make me feel the chest pain (not burning sensation) or neck pain, only alcohol seems to. I do however get a warm feeling in my stomache sometimes since this occurred, but that’s it.

I think I have acid reflux. 32yrs old overweight female! I wake up with a bile tast in my mouth in the middle of the night and feel like something is coming back up my throat if I don’t sit up. During the day I burp a lot. The back of my throat feels full and sore sometimes. I have 4 children so eat quickly at meal times is this what is causing it?
Does anyone know of a natural cure for it? Any other life style changes I need to make. Please help me I am a very busy mum and need to stay on top of things!
