My 11 weeks old baby boy has just been diagnosed with acid reflux. Our doctor prescribed him with Ranitidine (RT), he not only spits out the medicine every time I gave him but also vomits out the milk. I’m thinking to mix the medication with milk ( I breastfeed), I’m wondering if the medication would work the same. I’m also looking for good advice on how to care for a baby with acid reflux. It hurts me to see him throwing up but nothing comes out, I’m afraid to even feed him knowing he’ll vomit later on. Thank you for your input.

I have noticed my stomach swelling up like a balloon after eating. If I drink milk I have to go to the bathroom in a hurry. I notice bread definitely doesn’t help. Can you tell me what foods to avoid a list would be great. I have acid reflux too not sure if this is also contributing to the problem. Thanks so much.

I’m a new mom and have never been around babies. I saw someone in my other post mentioned this, I’d like to know more and learn more. Any good advice on caring for a baby with acid reflux?

I’ve had acid reflux since I was 9. I am now 17 and I occasionally drink 5 or 6 beers at a party usually once or twice a month. I understand I shouldn’t be drinking because I’m too young and because I have acid reflux but I would like to be able to party with my friends once a month. Drinking alcohol once a month won’t kill me. I’ve tried taking a zantac before it helps a little bit but not enough. I heard a mixture of baking soda and water before drinking could help but I haven’t tried it. If anyone has any ideas please help. I don’t feel the NEED to drink I just enjoy drinking and hanging out with friends but my acid reflux usually stops me. I usually have to either go puke or I feel like crap the whole night. (If you’re going to tell me to not drink without offering any advice don’t even bother posting.)
I’ve gotten crazy drunk before off of vodka as well and I have much less heartburn from mixed drinks. I can’t be allergic to beer because I’ve easily drank 7-8 beers in a night without getting sick. Typically though I’ll drink 2 beers, feel a lot of heartburn and puke.

I have SILENT REFLUX meaning it goes into my throat. But you can’t feel it, and it’s worse than acid reflux(GERD) But i really don’t want to take medicine, is it true you can get rid of it by changing diets, and how you live rather than meds?

I’ve had sharp, stabbing pains in the upper stomach area (and a multitude of other symptoms) for a few months now and they seem to be getting worse. How can I differentiate between GERD or acid reflux type symptoms, and something like aortic stenosis or an aortic dissection.

I have severe acid reflux and am taking prescription medicine for it, but it hasn’t helped. what are some home remedies I could take, like food, or liquids?

I have HORRIBLE G.E.R.D. (acid comes up and feels like I can’t swallow)
Since my husband and I are trying to for baby #1, I’m worried what effects my current pill will have on the baby till I find out.
So as the question asks: Is there any DAILY acid reflux medication safe to taking during pregnancy?
