Acid Reflux-How long should it take medication to start working?

I started to have acid reflux symptoms about 2 months ago.
I went to see my medical doctor and then a gastroenterologist.
I have tried more then one medication.
My doctor started me on Axciphex on 1/9 to take in the morning. I am also taking Omeprazole at night.
The Omeprazole was causing sleep disturbances on me. The doctor now is having me try Pepcid AC.
How long should this medication take to work?
It has been weeks.
I do have an upper endoscopy scheduled to 2/9.

~~ It works differently on different people.. some times you have to even change medication.
I’m no doctor, but I had a big problem with acid reflux until someone told me that I’m not drinking enough water. Try drinking a lot more water…it helped me a lot…I haven’t had heartburn for awhile.
