Are there any foods that can help with reducing acid reflux?

I am pregnant and have it pretty bad…not heartburn. I have tried a few medicines but they usually make me sick. Any foods to eat or to stay away from?

avoid: chocolate, milk products, tomato products, fried foods, spicy stuff.
Stay away from anything spicy. Try to avoid heavy dairy foods as well. Fried is another culprit. Try to eat a very mild diet, it’s better for you and the baby. Also, try sleeping on an angle. I realize it’s not comfortable when you’re pregnant, but it prevents the food from leaving the stomach and entering your esophagus. Feel better.
tomatoes (ketcup), cirtus fruits and juices #1 thing to start up heartburn.spicy ofc. just to name a few.
This isn’t food, but club soda(room temp)has always helped me. Have you tried soda crackers?
When I was pregnant, I had to give up all the spicy foods I love! Never failed to give me heartburn and acid reflux.
I always found when I was pregnant and had this happen that yogurt helped. Plain is best, just throw in some granola and it’s yummy!
I hope you feel better and that it’s not too hot where you are. The other thing I did was pop Tums, the Smooth Dissolve kind, Berry Fusion.
Try getting some probiotics, that helped me a lot with digestion last year (not pregnant though, ha ha). Any health food store sells acidophilus tablets. Keep them in the fridge.
An alkaline diet might help.
Whenever I feel acid, I drink milk and/or eat some bread. Stay away from spicy stuff.
Ask your doctor. I’ve used an antacid tablet (chewable) but I’m not pregnant.
