I have been taking prevacid for acid reflux for atleast a month and half, i was recently diagnosed with it. The prevacid helps alot, although I have been trying to avoid really acidy foods. Ive been able to eat pizza and chocolate cake though, without much problems. My question is, do you think I would be able to drink alcohol? I know that it has acid in it, but i thought that since I’ve been taking thhe prevacid, it may help. I dont drink very often, like once every 6 months. Has anyone on acid reflux meds drank and what happened? Is there anythinng to help, like milk or bread? Any comments would be appreciated?

If you are one of the many people that suffer from the awful and rather painful affects of acid reflux then working out how to avoid the symptoms is incredibly useful knowledge. Preventing acid reflux need not be time consuming or difficult to understand and as long as you follow a few simple changes, your life and more specifically the symptoms of acid reflux can be dramatically improved.
First of all, eating late at night is a big negative. By eating your dinner and going to bed within a few hours you are increasing the risks of feeling the symptoms of acid reflux because there is no gravity to keep the acid down while you are in a reclining position.
