Acid Reflux Foods to Avoid Archives

Is it me or my multi-vitamin?

I used to take a multivitamin everyday in the morning like clockwork. After some stressful experiences (which I’m still dealing with) in the past year, I find that if I have the same brand of No-name multivitamin in the morning, I get really queasy and want to hurl. This feeling doesn’t go away until about Noon.

Even if I have breakfast, then the same thing happens. So I have been taking them at dinner and I don’t have any probs. But during dinner time, I tend to forget to take them.
1) Is it my system?
2) Should I change up to brand name multivitamins?
3) Will this all change when the stressful stuff is over?
4) Is this ulcer or acid reflux related?

I eat a lot of spinach salads with brocolli and tofu (and some other veggies mixed in) for dinner. I feel perfectly full after a meal, without feeling overstuffed.

The problem is that it doesn’t last. I have to eat it right before I go to bed, and still five hours later I feel famished. The tofu just isn’t cutting it.

I’ve tried adding rice, but that seems to be “puffed up” with water, and then “deflate” overnight, leaving me even hungrier in the morning.

Stomach and digestive problems?

I have what I think is a bizarre issue. I have acid reflux and take Prilosec twice a day for is. I avoid foods that I know will upset my stomach. I am also painfully under weight. I have been for many years but now it’s gotten a bit worse. I have been on disability for a back injury so since I am doing nothing, for the most part, I should be gaining weight. I also tend to gain weight in the winter and lose it in the summer. I generally only vary within 5 pounds. I have become more nauseous lately and can’t eat. I had a test done that showed my stomach wasn’t digesting all of my food despite a 12 hour fast(it was closer to 9 or 10 hours). I have an appointment with a stomach doctor next week but wondered if anyone had any thoughts as to what it could be. My husband and I are beginning to get a little scared. I can’t drink any cola product, only Spite/Sierra Mist, water, or Gatorade AM. Even raspberry iced tea hurts stomach. I either want to vomit or have a knife in it.
I’m 35 years old and can’t get pregnant. I had a hysterectomy earlier this year.

How much does health cost?

I have had pain that “legal drugs” never helped with – at that time I had become disenchanted with how they wouldn’t give me the drugs to numb me, and what I was getting wasn’t enough to take the pain away. So… I dumped what I had left of the “legal drugs” into my trustworthy toilet and flushed them away, and embarked on serious detox, to rid my body of whatever was hurting it (and hopefully the toxins causing my pain would flush away – if possible – or at least putting my body at it’s optimum to heal me). It was promising from the beginning, I did the “lemonade diet” for 30 days and was impressed on the 5th day how my pain lessened considerably. Through the year I did 2 more 30 day detox “lemonade diet” (restricted diets/fasts) and cured myself of my FMS and an extra bonus was getting rid of my acid reflux. During this whole time I ate organic foods and living foods (foods activated into growing < - I ate those like crazy, my body wanted it sooo badly - craving heathy foods?? I was impressed). Now I still get into these healthy food fits and buy up a whole lot of organic veggies (usually the cheaper ones in harvest or on sale - whatever they may be), and cut them into small chunks, barely steam them, if at all and toss in some virgin olive oil and lemon and herbs (FYI: anything cooked over 105 degrees kills the food enzymes that cure you), and I can't stop myself from gobbling it up through out the day. My depression also left me as soon as I stopped eating processed food that was processed. One way to see it is like this: IF you go to the STORE and see STORED FOOD ("store" being the operative word here), AVOID IT! Eat fresh, stay alive!

Try to eat healthy (avoid those "healthy foods" that are stored in the store !! Again, "store" = "stored food"). AVOID foods in plastic wraps (unless kept frozen from the factory) - especially bread, they are INFESTED with mold, probably the biggest precursor to our health problems as it disengages our immune system immediately)

I have been experiencing gallstone like symptoms for 1.5 yrs now. I thought I was going to die the first time I had one. Immediately, the 1st thing the doctors wanted to do when I had pain in my midsection was call it acid-reflux and gave me antacid. When that didn’t work, they quickly switched to gallstones and said I had to have it removed immediately before it damaged my pancreas. They said to avoid fatty foods in the meantime. While I am thinking it over I ran into many MANY people who had problems/pain/cancer in less than 5 years after the operation, so I held off and tried to change my diet – with much success! With I still can’t eat non-fatty foods like lettuce, nuts, skin of an apple, etc…..I can easily digest items like cheese pizza, ice cream, and cheese quesedillas. It doesn’t make any sense. Personally, I think the food industry putting CALCIUM in our food is causing so many people to have this problem (I’m 30 and male). How does one counteract too much calcium??

My son is 11m. I’m pretty sure he has acid reflux. Is it normal for a formula fed child of his age to still spit up often? He does eat table foods, and baby foods also. He goes to the allgergist on the 20th with me. He is on Isomil Advance because he was allergic to the regular milk based formula. He doesn’t drink cow’s milk yet. I’m wondering if he’s sticking his fingers in his throat because of the reflux or if it’s for some other reason.

I called the dr office yesterday and the nurse said that it’s probably just a behavior, but it could also be from his tummy bothering him cuz of the reflux. She also said to avoid citrus foods.

What is good to eat for a inflamed stomach.?

I have an inflamed stomach, feels like acid reflux and is not very nice. What are the best foods to have and the ones to avoid.Thank you.

Do you think I have Acid-Reflux?

I’m not sure if all these go along with it, but:
After alot of meals I feel nauseous and sick. And sometimes even throw up.
(I ate taco bell EALIER and I had to lay down for about 2 hours bc I felt sick)
I still taste the food every couple minutes..
I cough alot.
Today, I’ve been getting hiccups alot..
I complain of a stomachache everyday.
I don’t sleep well.
If I eat then bend over, I’ll normally throw up(I try to avoid that)
I’m 15 and not sure if I have it or not.
What are your opinions?
