This really scares the s**t out of me. He used to spit up through his nose and mouth a lot up until he was about 2 to 3 months old; then it stopped. But occaisionally it still happens now. And it seems as if he’s choking….the milk is coming up. Then it goes away. This has happened 2x this past week.

I’ve been taking acid reflux medications, specifically proton pump inhibitors, but they haven’t been working. What can I take or do differently to deal with my constant reflux? I feel like throwing-up after most meals; especially after breakfast.

When I am walking outside I get really bad pains and it’s acid reflux. I can’t get medication right now because everyone at the doctor is sick, what can I do to not feel that pain when I’m out walking?

I’m only 15 and I have severe heartburn and acid reflux.
I’ve taken prescription medication medication from my doctor which greatly decreased the pain/feeling of it, but sometimes it still happens (especially now since it’s Christmas… eating all sorts of rich foods)
Should the medication have taken away the heartburn altogether?
And also, are there any serious side effects of heartburn?

I am 20 weeks pregnant, and I have acid reflux (before pregnancy) the medication that I took, I cannot take while pregnant. I have been using tums, but everything I eat causes it, and at times it gets so bad the tums have no affect. Any suggestions?

If I get pregnant, What will I be able to take for it?
I’m assuming that a) I will still have severe reflux(or worse!) if I get pregnant and that b) I will not be allowed to take protonix for it
Would I be able to take anything?

I’ve had an esphagael test, asthma tests, acid reflux medications, inhalers, but nothing works. A CT Scan showed one sinus is quite blocked, but the ENT said that wouldn’t cause this cough. Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this or know someone who has had a similar prolonged cough and what they did for relief?
I have never smoked, but my Dad smoked …however, I haven’t lived with him for 25 yrs. I don’t have any of the symptoms of TB: Fever, Loss of appetite,
Weight loss or Night sweats. My tonsils according to my doctor, are almost non-existent. I have seen many doctors and 3 specialists in ear nose & throat. CT scan on my chest tomorrow. Any other ideas?

I went the the doctor he prescribed prevacid 30 days I took one pill then decided to wait on it because I was feeling better. I haven’t started the regimen because before I had constipation so bad that i couldn’t pass gas I am better know but still have bouts of acid reflux to the point of gagging and choking, the more I Read the more I wonder.Ironically not enough acid is the real problem along with possible pancreatic problems or not enough bile released for digestion. Im taking gas pills mylanta and took pepcid twice. A long term acid reflux medication regimen is dangerous your acid is the first line of defense against virus and bacteria long term use puts you at risk for cancer pneumonia the list goes on. What should I do I know its linked to something else I have had a stomach ultrasound it came back ok but that test isn’t reliable in terms of gastrointestinal disorders. Doctors keep telling me im ok they give me pills that will help but in the long term they are problematic what the hell should I do?
