I have been giving my son gripe water to help relieve some of his acid reflux symptoms while we’re waiting for his prevacid to “kick in.” Does anyone have a homemade recipe for gripe water or a particular brand they recommend? I have been reading that the store brand I’m buying has sodium bicarbonate, and many websites have said that it’s not good to give a baby this. Any advice about this?

Originally, my Mom & I were going to make lasagna, but then I saw someone mention chili & decided to make chili instead.
So.. with that being said.. what’s your favorite sweet & spicy chili recipe? I want something that’s the perfect amount of both. Not too sweet so it feels like I’m eating candy lol & not too spicy because I have acid reflux & don’t really feel like being up all night. LOL.
So if you could link me to a recipe or post a recipe, I’d appreciate it.

Usually my husband and I go visit his parents for Easter but there is so much going on this month (and were traveling alot already this month). We decided that were just going to stay home for Easter. I promised my husband that I would make a Easter dinner for the two of us. Now I’m just trying to figure out what to make. Does anyone have any recipe ideas or suggestions of what I could make for our Easter dinner?
The recipe cannot have cheese, cream cheese, cottage cheese, tomatoes, peppers and the recipe cannot be spicy cause I have acid reflux along with other digestive and gastrointestinal problems.

I’m fifteen and still in the house, and my dad and grandma will be here, so if I need any assistance, they can definitely help me.
I’m a great cook, especially when following a recipe, and can cook anything.
So, it’s not a limited ability or lack of assistance that’s hindering me; I just really don’t have any ideas on what to make for my mom.
I want to make maybe a three or four course meal. I don’t have a problem with cooking it all day or beginning to prepare it today; I just need it to be done by tomorrow evening.
The food should be reasonably mild, because my mom has acid reflux and we come from a family of picky eaters.
I’m hoping to serve some kind of red meat dish as a main course, because we all like beef and hardly ever have it. I don’t necessarily need any recipes; ideas and suggestions will suffice. Thanks.
Also, are there any non-alcoholic drinks that would be nice to serve with what you suggest?

My elderly mother has problems due to severe acid reflux. She also had 2/3 of her stomach removed because of cancer. To complicate matters further she has lost a lot of weight. She is on a mechanically altered diet. I just wondered what is the best way to get her to gain weight? Do any take out places cater to this diet? Does anyone have recipes or links that can help out?

Ok heres the deal. My husband and I want to become Pesco-vegetarians. Second, I have a really screwed up stomach, colon. I have corosion in my stomach lining from Acid Reflux. (I take prilosec twice daily) I have gas and have had constipation ALL my life. I am allergic to Leeks and I think I am allergic to Scallions (not confirmed). How do I start this type of Vegetarianism and is there a great website where i can get some free help? Also, I have kids who are picky. I need recipes that they will like. I am not much of a cook so they need to be fairly easy.
I can’t go to the doctor though because I have no insurance. (like so many other ppl)
And I have Fibromyalgia. I am hoping this type of diet will help with it.
I don’t see a doctor right now because I don’t have insurance OR money.
