The Best Acid Reflux Treatment Does Not Involve Controlling Stomach Acid
Article by Jim Rees
Everyone knows that it is acid reflux that causes the pain and distress of heartburn. So surely, it makes sense then, that if you reduce the amount of acid that your stomach produces, this must be the best way to treat acid reflux. Actually NO, it is not. Contrary to popular belief, the best acid reflux treatment does NOT involve controlling the production of stomach acid.
Yes it is true that it is stomach acid that causes heartburn but simply reducing the amount of acid that is produced is not the most effective way to overcome your problem. Acid Reflux Treatment – Understand The Best Acid Reflux Treatments Available For You
Article by Steve
Acid reflux is also known as GERD which is a gastro-esophageal disease which occurs when the sphincter which is located around the base of the esophagus is not functioning correctly. When this happens, we notice that food that is going through the esophagus and down towards your stomach reverses in its function. When this happens, the food generally will move back up, sometimes in the form of vomit. This can also cause a burning feeling through your throat and your chest. If acid reflux treatment is not acquired, you can have long term damage in your esophagus.
The treatments for this disease may be different from person to person as it may require a lot specific things to help relieve the individual from their symptoms. It is known that a lifestyle change can help ease the discomfort and pain involved with this kind of disease.
