this is absolutely the same as my daughter!! her formula was NAN then I changed it to Lactana. and neither worked for her but her crying decreased a little. I am giving her gripe mixture and it is good for a few hours but she cries uncontrollably at least once a day.
I will be happy If you inform me of any medication or treatment.

my son had really bad acid reflux, at 3 months he had an upper GI because the doc was worried his stomach wasn’t opening properly. everything on the upper GI was fine so he said its just acid reflux. we switched him to enfamil AR and seemed to help a little but i was told it was just something he would have to grow out of. he still spits up but not as bad now that he is on solid baby foods. he is 8 months old now and it has gotten better, so just hang in there. it was so bad when my son was younger i was changing my outfit at least 3 times a day from being spit up on and he was always being changed. good luck and i hope things get better for you and your son. also the gas drop seemed to help out a little when he seemed really uncomfortable

It sounds like reflux to me. It takes time for the meds to work, how long did you give it to him, or is he still taking them. If he isn’t you may want to give them another try, also he may have needed a higher dose of the meds. IF that doesn’t work there are other reflux meds, you just need to find the right formula, right meds and doseage.
My niece had BAD reflux. what worked for her was Allementum and zantac. There are different kinds of reflux meds. (google and you will see what the different kind do)You may be able to find the right one and ask the doc about it.
Has he seen a pediatric gastro. doc, pediatricians(my nieces) didn’t have enough knowledge about reflux and wasnt of any real help to them. it wont help NOW but make an appointment, tell them how bad it is and if htere is a cancellation to call you. we are getting a snow storm tomorrow, my son needs tosee his ENT, cant get an appt untill next week. I am planing on calling tomorrow and hoping for a cancellation. are you getting snow?

I know you are supposed to feed reflux babies in small amounts more frequently. try feeding 2 oz at a time instead of 4, 4 may be to much for him to handle. feed every 2 hours sitting him upright and kekep him upright for 20 minutes after the feeding, walk around with him so his head ison you shoulder or hold him sitting in that way…20 min or longer. it is supposed to make the milk settle a bit(i think)
I hate to tell you but..the with the hiccups he is most likely refluxing which is painful): You could try gripe water, it helped my niece for a little while.

good luck. once you find the right meds and formula you will have a “new” child. after my niece was on the allementum and zantac for a little over a week she was a new child. Nothing will be a quick fix sadly…make an appt with a specialist, if you have seen one..see another.

You could always go the ER where a doctor has to see you. That is ridiculous that no doctor will see you. Try Nutramigen. My son had a milk protein intolerance and I had to supplement a few times with formula. He wouldn’t drink Alimentum but would Nutramigen. He had similar behavior and symptoms but no gurgling in this throat.

i also switched my baby to enfamil gentlease. after a couple days on this formula she is so content! hardly fusses anymore and will sit and entertain herself without me having to hold her constantly. she’s doing really well on it. i’ve also heard that putting rice cereal into their milk helps. i don’t know the milk to rice cereal ratio though.

I stopped meats about a month ago imma vegeterian now and my acid reflux has calmed down a lot. less and less meds needed

Wow..only a month and you are already starting to reap the benefits…you have chosen the right diet and the closer that you get to eating raw the better you will feel.Acid reflux could be totally suppressed and alleviated with no side effects by diet alone but due to the extent of the damage done it will take different time periods for each person to heal.

@TheClubMantraSounds like a natural remedy that i’m unfamiliar with and it may be effective if combined with the proper diet. I’m suggesting a change of diet as a part of the solution…you don’t arrive at healing by suppressing the symptoms but only by addressing the cause and that’s what I believe people need to become aware of.

@agormanvideos Dumbass, you dilute it with a cup of water, and DONT take the regular white vinegar, it has to be raw organic apple cider vinegar with “mother” in it.

Works to cure heartburn for me every time.

I have acid reflux and my doctor told me not to eat the following: spicy/salty food, ice cream, honey, tomato, any thing with caffeine, and ect. Also do not eat anything 2 hours before sleeping. Lastly, when you are sleeping make sure your torso elevates from your stomach so that it would not let acid flow into your esophagus.

@swtwatermelon Your doctor must be mistaken. Honey is one of the best anti-refluxing remedies. It not only coats the esophagus to protect it, but also heals it. Besides this, honey has a load of other healthy qualities. I have GERD, I eat honey all the time and it works great.

The pharmaceutical industry has no real desire to cure your acid reflux, or they’d soon be out of business. That’s why your relief is always temporary for the most.

For me, APPLE CIDER VINEGAR, especially the ORGANIC one, (1 teaspoon to a half glass of water before meals, WORKS WONDERS!

@mamasitamami ITs called RAHS. Rebound acid hypersecretion. PPI’s can actually cure ulcers and gerd. However, when you stop taking them there is 2-3 week period where your body compenstates and flushes lots of acid. People think this is gerd again and Take PPI again when really it is not. PharmD
