Could Acid Reflux be causing this problem?

I’m a 17 year old male, my voice used to crack a lot last year but now it just stopped and my voice is still the same. Sometimes in the morning i wake up with a deep voice but it changes back to my normal voice throughout the day. Could acid reflux have burned my “voice box” and doesn’t let my voice change?

I have acid reflux, it gives heartburn…very painful, been on prevacid for almost a year now…

That doesn’t even sound plausible.
If you suffered from reflux, I would think you’d be more concerned about treating that.
You are still in puberty and your voice will change, this happens over time. Last year you had a growth spurt, now your body is resting, soon another spurt will come along.
If you do suffer from heartburn, go see your doctor and get some meds for it! Untreated GERD, or Gastrointestinal Esophageal Reflux Disease can lead to Esophageal cancer!
