THEN DONT DRINK!!!!!!
yup by NOT drinking
Pepsid, Prilosec, Zantac..take it or quit drinking..
I have a hunch that stopping your alcohol consumption might help.
better stop drinking.
I eat about 3 to 5 Tums EX
Have you tried eating something that would hold the alcohol? Like bread?
Go to a aclcoholic meeting…just go to a doctor and they’ll give u some pills or just use thumbs or another product out there.
Always eat plenty before you go drinking and munch while drinking. If you drink daily you better see a doctor.
Maybe if you didnt drink it you wouldnt get the acid reflux
In a word GAVISCON.
Ask you pharmacist for it.
Try some food with your alcohol and drinking less too!
Alcohol relaxes the lower esophageal sphincter, allowing the reflux of stomach contents into the esophagus. It also increases the production of stomach acid. If you want to consume alcohol, follow these tips: Dilute alcoholic beverages with water or club soda, drink moderate amounts of alcoholic beverages — the suggested amounts are 1-2 mixed drinks, 12-16 ounces of wine, or 2-3 beers, drink white wine instead of red, choose non-alcoholic beer or wine whenever you can.
You might also try taking breaks in between drinks and switching to a glass of water. Also try to avoid highly carbonated drinks like beer or champagne.
if you get the reflux after drinking and not during, try drinking a small glass of cold cold milk before going to bed, this works for me. hope it helps
Make every third drink, a glass of water
eating is good but also drink milk before.
I guess I would wonder what a “solid amount” of alcohol is…? And, of course, the obvious answer is to not drink alcohol. However…
You should probably get on a course of treatment for acid reflux, like Prilosec (sp?) or some such. Take it every day. If you still get acid reflux when you drink, then do the “baking soda thing.” Take a dose of baking soda & water. It should relieve the heartburn. I don’t think there is any contraindication to taking baking soda along with Prilosec.
I hope this helps.
