Heart burn when drinking alcohol. What is wrong with me?
When i drink alcohol, after about 3 beers or around that, my chest starts to hurt bad. if i continue to drink it gets worse.
but if i stop drinking for about 30 minutes it stops and i can continue drinking again without it happening again unless i drink ALOT more after that.
Could it be something wrong with my chest or is it acid reflux? or something?
Also i dont get heartburn any other time, with any other reason. only alcohol does it to me.

You should stop drinking.
My bf has acid reflux (Gerd) and the doctor told him that
drinking is the worst thing you can do when you have
acid reflux. You will eventually burn holes in your stomach
called ulcers. NOT fun.
It could be gastric (acid) reflux from your stomach.
It could be also an ulcer or an irritation in the lining of the stomach that causes the heart burn when drinking alcohol or consuming foods having vinegar or spices.
Go and have a check up.
G’luck
sounds like acid reflux. trying taking a prilosec otc before you go drinking and see if that helps. i take it every day for acid reflux and i haven’t had any problems for some time now
There’s nothing wrong. Three beers is more than enough to cause heartburn. Alcohol contains acid. Therefore, logically after drinking a certain amount, it will affect the pH in your digestive tract, thereby causing the burning sensation.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with your chest.
Lower esophageal sphincter(Les) located between stomach and esophagus; prevents food contents from going back to esophagus.
During alcohol consumption (Les) is weaken(relaxed). Therefore, allowing reflux of stomach contents back into esophagus.
The heartburn depends on the type of content/rate consumed.
You can try a different type of beer and compare the effects.
Personal experience
When I drink beer I get heartburn but I’m cool with ciders…
