I sure do…give birth! No, really. I have the same problem and feel your pain! Talk to your doctor and see what he’ll let you take. To tell you the truth, mine doesn’t seem to be alleviated by any of the meds I can take. I have had to really watch my diet and sleep sitting up. It sucks though.
Good luck! I hope you find relief!
Normally tumms are recommended..when it gets really bad your OB may prescribe “the little purple pill”..but you need to check with them first.
I have 2 toddlers. You can call the doctor and he can tell you more ways. I do remember eat salting crackers { you can leave some by the bed so you can have them there when it happen} or just carry some with you where ever you go. You can drink milk, and use tums. Try to eat smaller amounts of food at one time but eat more times in the day like 6-8 small meals. Cuts back on grease foods.
My doc recommended pepcid AC if it is really bad, but i have gotten away with tums my whole pregnancy. It has the added bonus of providing extra calcium too
I highly recommend assorted berry
When I get acid reflux really bad I usually drink a huge glass of milk. It helps me sooo much! It neutralizes the stomache acid quite a bit. Maybe ice cream would help too?? I’d try to the milk though!! My midwife tells me to take zantac when I have heartburn but I know some people don’t like medicines while pregnant. Good luck
do not drink milk it only makes your stomach produce more acid (ask your doctor) go to the grocery store and get a box of baking soda and follow the directions on the box i think its a teaspoon per 4 to 6 oz of water cold water is best and your heartburn will go away instantly
I would suggest not to take medicine. I have been on H2 blockers and antacids for acid reflux remedy. These drugs do suppress symptoms but they do not cure. And, it seems some people develops both tolerance and dependence on medications and they can never stop taking them.
There is a killer home remedy for acid reflux described in a short book available at
http://banishacidreflux.com .
The home remedy they outline uses several foods which do wonders in curing acid reflux and heartburn. You may try it for yourself. I am sure you will do much better with it. It will cost you less and improve your overall health too.
