I have severe acid reflux. I am on medication for it.?
If I get pregnant, What will I be able to take for it?
I’m assuming that a) I will still have severe reflux(or worse!) if I get pregnant and that b) I will not be allowed to take protonix for it
Would I be able to take anything?

You are right that in pregnancy reflux tends to get worse and women who don’t have reflux normally, will experience it during pregnancy. This is due to the enlarging uterus pushing up on the stomach which leads to reflux of acid up the esophagus.
Protonix seems to be safe to take during pregnancy. Most reflux meds are pregnancy category B which is pretty safe. Of course if you become pregnanct you should bring this issue up with your OB so they can give you some advice.
Good Luck!
