I’m a Vegan that wants to go back to eating meat and dairy. Help.?
I really want to go back to eating meat and dairy. My body can’t handle this kind of shock and I can’t even eat onion garlic and tomatoe or alcohol without getting acid reflux. How can I ease back into my meat eating dairy drinking ways?

take it slow and light until your body gets used to it.
If you feel it’s natural for you, you shouldn’t have to ease into it.
Take sips of milk or other things to get your body used to it .. There are medications that you can take for that stuff.
I’m allergic to milk .. No ice-cream ..yogurt .. some cakes, no cheese ..
I wish I could go back.
try easing yourself back in by eating soup with a meat based broth and very small pieces of meat in it. eat small amounts of light dairy like yogurt and slowly work your self up to cheese and milk and stuff like that. maybe a light meat like fish might help too. for the acid reflux maybe try vinegar, i know it sounds weird but it will help balance your stomach acid to normal, just mix 2 tablespoons of vinegar in 12 ounces of water and drink it. if you can’t stand the flavor add some lemon juice and some sugar if you want, it tastes like really tart lemonade. good luck.
I would start slowing working backwards the way to become a vegan.
First start eating dairy and eggs then after a while go back to non red meat and then finally meat.
The problems you have highlighted, I would see your doctor because there could be something more here than an eating disorder. You don“t need to ease into anything unless you were talking about a drug. Alcohol is better in moderation anyway.
well, you’ll strugle, the shock of the amount of extra fat and acid will take its toll on your body. you’ll start to feel drowsy for a while, but eventually you will be fine, but you’ll find you put on weight way to easy.
besides i dont see how the acid reflux is to do with your diet, you should go n see a doctor!
I would tend to agree with the other my dear, you need to take this slowly, your body is so not use to the “carnivore” kinda live so will instantly try to reject it, thus, in turn, making you feel ill!
If easing yourself back in proves to be difficult why dont you see your GP or arrange to see a Dietician, a Dietician would be able to hold your hand so to speak!!

Before you make any decisions on your diet I think you should see your doctor. There are more important reasons why you are having acid reflux and changing your diet back to eating meat is probably not going to solve it anyway. Good luck!
What kind of “shock” is it to switch to the lifestyle most doctors recommend for omnivores with health problems?
The whole point of being vegan is to replace meat and dairy products with healthier, plant-based alternatives. If you just cut out everything, no wonder you’re sick!
If you are going to do it, do it slowly (over an extended period of time) and eat it only in small amounts until you’re body can get used to it. Meat and dairy are filled with tons of yummy toxins.
And after all, some poisons can be ingested in small (non-lethal) amounts over time so the body can build up a tolerance or partial immunity against it.– It’s called mithridatism.

Meat and dairy will probably make your reflux worse. Animal protein is highly acidic.
Then you’re not vegan at all and never were.
And so you come to a vegan/vegetarian board to ask how to eat dead animals?! Ummm OK try standing on your head while you eat.
If you have problems with acid reflux, you should be careful in what you add back into you diet. I have acid reflux and often it is from eating spicy food and eating too large of quantity of food in one sitting.
A vegan diet is definitely one of the most strict diets. But your body could definitely react strongly if you add too much too soon. I would try eggs and cheese first. Then, fish and chicken – maybe chicken stock first with lots of vegetables.
Milk could make your body react a little stronger. My non-force chiropractor doesn’t want me drinking cow’s milk at all – because of my allergies. (But cheese and yogurt are okay because they’re processed – he said). He has me drinking goats milk – which is suppose to better for you anyway. It’s a little stronger in flavor. Definitely take it slow. And with acid reflux – garlic, onions, and tomatoes(because of the acid) are the hardest on your system. I have to use shallots instead of onions because they are milder.
