I think that the acid reflux is caused by a hiatal hernia.
thanks for all the helpfull answers I went to the emergency room last night with really bad pains and they said that it looks like I have an ulcer. Are these are to get rid of? They also said I have to have a scope done. Is this painful what do they do.

I know with my first child he was extremely fussy from Acid reflux and cried a lot. With our second child, he just sleeps and when he is awake, he is as quiet as can be. He sleeps all day and night except for about 3-4 hours. He usually is awake in the morning for about 2 hours and in the evening about 1-2 hours. He wakes to eat every 3 hours. Is he sleeping too much? He is just so different from our first. Thanks!

I have not had medical insurance for the past 4-5 yrs, and I went to emergency room, and saw a doctor a few days later (both paid for out of pocket) for acid reflux about 3 years ago…If I sign up for Blue Cross Blue Shield (in NC) will that acid reflux treatment from 3 years ago still count as pre-exiting condition?

Every time I wake up in the morning I have this rancid taste/smell in my mouth.. I can barely eat any non-bland foods due to the heart burn factor. I cant stand this anymore all help is appreciated… Oh and during the day I burp up stomach acid…

I haven’t eaten anything knew or different and no sudden increase or decrease in the amounts of foods. I have taken a pregnancy test which came back negative, so I’m not sure if it could be pregnancy related or not in case the test was wrong…any advice?

i suffer from acid reflux and i love to eat salads but the dressings make me sick.. is it possible to make a salad dressing out of yogurt? i have also heard you can use yogurt for cooking and making sauces, sorry if i might sound i bit of an air head even though im a red head.. but does it have to be homemade or can it be from yoplait plain yogurt?and last most important answer is it good and safe for acid reflux? and oh yeahh if you have any recipes please let me know.

My 4 week old is on a acid reducer and it seems to make her spit up even more then she was before she started taking it. Its called AXID. Has anyone else had children on this and it cause the same problem? Should I have her changed to a different reflux medicine and does anyone have any suggestions of what kinds work really well? I heard of this guy selling a reflux remedy report for 20 bucks online. I know what your thinking. (Don’t spend your money!) Well he talks about apples or a slice of an apple rather,that will eliminate all the symptoms of acid reflux. I work with a GI doctor at the local hospital and I am going to see what insight he can give me. My reflux is getting worse by the week. I have doubled my dose of omeprazole (Prilosec), started taking Pesid Complete AND Rolaids!!! This is driving me nuts. But I really want to know if the apples work so I am going to be the human experiment for all of you to see if this homeopathic idea works and I will see what other info I can scrounge out of my Doc.
