Don’t tell me not to because I know I shouldn’t. I only drink on occasion at the big parties but I get sick every time I try. I take 2 Zantac’s before i drink and I still feel sick and usually have to go puke it up. Should I take one before and then another midway through? I’ve tried eating bread and other absorbants before as well as drinking other drinks with alcohol. Please help me I hate being the only not drinking. Don’t tell me to just not drink. That’s not helpful.
I’ve had acid reflux since I was 9. I am now 17 and I occasionally drink 5 or 6 beers at a party usually once or twice a month. I understand I shouldn’t be drinking because I’m too young and because I have acid reflux but I would like to be able to party with my friends once a month. Drinking alcohol once a month won’t kill me. I’ve tried taking a zantac before it helps a little bit but not enough. I heard a mixture of baking soda and water before drinking could help but I haven’t tried it. If anyone has any ideas please help. I don’t feel the NEED to drink I just enjoy drinking and hanging out with friends but my acid reflux usually stops me. I usually have to either go puke or I feel like crap the whole night. (If you’re going to tell me to not drink without offering any advice don’t even bother posting.)
I’ve gotten crazy drunk before off of vodka as well and I have much less heartburn from mixed drinks. I can’t be allergic to beer because I’ve easily drank 7-8 beers in a night without getting sick. Typically though I’ll drink 2 beers, feel a lot of heartburn and puke.
I have had acid reflux for 2 weeks and I am now taking Prilosec.
What kind of alcohol will aggravate my acid reflux the least?
Please no answers saying “you shouldnt drink”. I know I shouldn’t. It’s new years and I don’t care.
i’ve had breathing issues for the past 3 years. i was diagnosed with anxiety, asthma, bronchitis, acid reflux… but no pills, inhalers, or exercise helped. until last night, i drank a few alcoholic beveraegs, and i did not gasp for air or cough ONCE!
I mixed them together and using reflux I got an ester. I figured out the ID of the ester (n-pentyl ethanoate), but how do I figure out what my two original unknowns were?
I found its boiling point, melting point, and its refractive index. Then compared them to some true values.
I’ve never really been a drinker. I could probably count on one hand the number of times I’ve had alcohol, and I’ve never even been drunk. So anyways, I’ve noticed that when I have had a drink or two, I get this horrible pain just below my sternum. The 2 major times I remember about, I had a few jello shots one night, and the other time was after I had part of some fruity ‘shark’ drink from Joe’s Crab Shack. I’ve been doing a little research and from what it sounds like, it could just be acid reflux from the alcohol. Has anybody had this before? What is the best way to fix it? I don’t really care to drink a lot, but I would like to have one or two every once in a while without being afraid I’ll get this pain again. Any advice?
I’m actually 22
But I have recently had an ECG for other issues, and as far as I know nothing has come up. The pain only happens after I drink alcohol. I think the Tums or Pepcid sounds like it might work… thank you for the advice
I drink everyday. I went to the doctor because of heartburn. They prescribed prilosec for what they think is acid reflux. Can I still drink beer. If so how much?
Just wondering, my friend has an ulcer and acid reflux, he never goes drinking with us but always smokes pot, I’m just wondering which of the two is worse? I know both aren’t good, but which is the lesser evil?
Thanks in advance.
When i drink alcohol, after about 3 beers or around that, my chest starts to hurt bad. if i continue to drink it gets worse.
but if i stop drinking for about 30 minutes it stops and i can continue drinking again without it happening again unless i drink ALOT more after that.
Could it be something wrong with my chest or is it acid reflux? or something?
