My baby is 1 and a half months and she has acid reflux. I already have her on medications but I was wondering if I could give her baby cereal. Some days her reflux is better than others and she is on medications. Can I get some advice?

I took my two month old to the pediatritian and she said he has acid reflux and gave him medication that he absolutly hates taking! I tried it and I can see why. It is like extra bitter cough syrup! Does acid reflux go away at all or will he be on medication his whole life. He is also lactose and tolerant. I just feel so bad for him!!!
He was screaming and crying when he ate and 3/4 of the time would throw everything up afterwards. thats how she knew and he is taking Axid

My 11 weeks old baby boy has just been diagnosed with acid reflux. Our doctor prescribed him with Ranitidine (RT), he not only spits out the medicine every time I gave him but also vomits out the milk. I’m thinking to mix the medication with milk ( I breastfeed), I’m wondering if the medication would work the same. I’m also looking for good advice on how to care for a baby with acid reflux. It hurts me to see him throwing up but nothing comes out, I’m afraid to even feed him knowing he’ll vomit later on. Thank you for your input.

I’m a new mom and have never been around babies. I saw someone in my other post mentioned this, I’d like to know more and learn more. Any good advice on caring for a baby with acid reflux?

My baby is almost 5 months old and has been diagnosed with Acid Reflux. He’s exclusively breast fed, and after trying lots of different things we had to start him on Zantac because he is refusing to eat very much (he will only take about 2-2.5 oz is my guess each feeding). We have tried expressed milk in a bottle, and formula…all with the same result – refusal. The doctor started him on Zantac last week and it’s only been 5 days he’s been taking the medication but he is still refusing to eat and we have to top him up with expressed milk after every feeding using a syringe.
I am not looking to be judged on giving my baby medicine, you would too your child was not eating enough and gaining weight well. I am looking to find other people that had similiar experiences and how long it took until their baby began to breastfeed (or drink formula normally again).

His stools are yellow and have a mixture of brown which is sometimes shiny. Does anyone else have their child on enfamil with rice and have the same colored stools? I just want to know what to look for in case its a milk allergy, or if this is the way he digests the rice.

I am breastfeeding but I like to have a glass or 2 of wine some nights especially after dealing with a reflux 4 month old and a 2 year old all day but I’ve heard that alcohol can trigger the acid problem, if i am going to have a glass what would be the least irritable for my little bub? I had a few drinks when breastfeeding my older child and it never effected him.
