I have severe acid reflux and am taking prescription medicine for it, but it hasn’t helped. what are some home remedies I could take, like food, or liquids?

I have had this battery acid feeling in my throat now off and on for a month. I started taking Prilosec OTC almost two weeks ago and last night I had the worst spell of acid in my throat. I tried taking Maalox and drinking some milk and nothing helped. This is the first time that I have had all day acid and not been able to get rid of it. Does anyone know of an Over the counter medicine that is especially good for acid reflux/acid in throat? I have already tried taking typical antacids like rolaids and Gas-X and of course the prilosec OTC. Or am I describing acid reflux disease and thus should go to the doctor? help!

I woke up today with horrible chest and back pain. I know I have acid reflux, but I’ve never had chest or back pain. The back pain is right in between the bottoms of my shoulder blades, and the chest pain is right between my breasts, and a little lower down. Moving certain ways hurts, I cant breath to deep without pain, and belching makes my back hurt worse.

Anything I can do to calm this? I’ve already taken the max amount of tums with no help.
I also feel like I cant breath after belching and it makes me nauseous… cant breath too deep without it hurting badly

If so please give me some ideas on how to treat besides seeing a doctor. I was diagnosed, tried his medication to no avail. searched the web any other ideas?
