I’ve been taking acid reflux medications, specifically proton pump inhibitors, but they haven’t been working. What can I take or do differently to deal with my constant reflux? I feel like throwing-up after most meals; especially after breakfast.

I went the the doctor he prescribed prevacid 30 days I took one pill then decided to wait on it because I was feeling better. I haven’t started the regimen because before I had constipation so bad that i couldn’t pass gas I am better know but still have bouts of acid reflux to the point of gagging and choking, the more I Read the more I wonder.Ironically not enough acid is the real problem along with possible pancreatic problems or not enough bile released for digestion. Im taking gas pills mylanta and took pepcid twice. A long term acid reflux medication regimen is dangerous your acid is the first line of defense against virus and bacteria long term use puts you at risk for cancer pneumonia the list goes on. What should I do I know its linked to something else I have had a stomach ultrasound it came back ok but that test isn’t reliable in terms of gastrointestinal disorders. Doctors keep telling me im ok they give me pills that will help but in the long term they are problematic what the hell should I do?

I’ve been having problems with indigestion, heartburn, acid reflux, and excessive burping for the past 5 months. Doctors tell me that it is GERD but the meds they give me just dont work. What works most for me is to avoid eating dairy products and raw food like lettuce or sushi. Is this IBS? or am I lactose intolerant? or is it something else? Please help me, it would be very much appreciated.

The doc has put my son on axid (for his acid reflux) but he still doesn’t seem to be getting any better. He has been on it for about 3 1/2 days now. He still seems fussy. Maybe i should switch his formula to enfamil nutrimagen or AR?? I’m so confused as to what i should do. My doc doesn’t seem to be much help. I know that something is wrong with my child and all he pretty much just says deal with it. He is not sleeping good and i have tried 1 tsp of cereal in his bottle at night, i’ve tried elevating his head, burping him (although he is very hard to burp). Any suggestions? I’m exhausted!
Anyone with a baby that has reflux..what are you doing??

I’m looking for some new recipe ideas. I have acid reflux and starting next week I’m going to start cooking a healthy meal every night. Every night I’m going to cook at least 1 meat, 1 vegetable, and 1 fruit and one night a week I’m going to cook a vegetarian dish.
So I’m looking for some recipe ideas that are safe for acid reflux. Does anyone have any recipe ideas or any helpful websites with recipes that your willing to share?
