Wow..I doubt it..try some tumbs. That’s what one of my best friends uses.
I wouldn’t of thought so as pickle juice is going to be acidic.
Drink milk
remigel rennies i find them both good or even settlers
Ow…pickle juice will dry out your kidneys! I keep a bottle of Mylanta with me (for bad reflux) and take 2 Prilosec OTC a day with excellent symptom control.
Diet is the only thing that you can do yourself to help control acid reflux. But there are over-the-counter drugs that you can buy–Wal-Mart has their own brand of something like Prilosec, or you can buy Prilosec and other medications now that you used to have to have a prescription for. I take Aciphex daily and it keeps mine under control, but it is terribly expensive and my insurance company has a fit every time I have it filled.
Apple cider vinegar helps and dill pickles are made with vinegar. So it stands to reason it would also help. The cause of acid reflux is the body does not produce enough of the necessary digestive acids. So when you drink apple cider vinegar or pickle juice you give the body what it needs to do the job and that stops the pain from indigestion.
So if you like pickle juice, remember it must be dill pickle juice, it should help. I KNOW apple cider vinegar works almost instantly to stop heartburn. It cannot be white vinegar for that is too caustic to ingest alone.
Hope this helps, and you should do a search on the uses of apple cider vinegar.
never heard of pickle juice but i guess it would be possible. my daughter has acid reflux and we have learned to not let her have any of the triggers she is ok without her prilosec. the main triggers are peppermint, chocolate, caffiene, and smoking. we were also told to put the head of her bed on blocks but never have. Good Luck
Nope. Acid reflux, if it happens more than 3 times a week, may be a sign of GERD, gastroesophageal reflux disease.
GERD diets (what not to eat) can be found here:
http://www.midwestgastro.com/diet_nutrition/GERD.html
http://www.gicare.com/pated/edtgs03.htm
GERD happens when your lower esophageal sphincter http://www.nbc10.com/2006/0209/6867277.jpg doesn’t close properly and stomach acid burns your esophagus, causing inflammation and eventually cancerous, changes in the esophageal cells.
GERD is treated with proton pump inhibitors (PPIs), which stop production of most stomach acid and allow your esophagus to heal. Some PPIs are Protonix, AcipHex, Nexium, and Prilosec (Prilosec is available without a prescription). Tums and other antacids simply neutralize stomach acid, but the stomach produces acid constantly, so they don’t work very well against GERD.
If you think you might have GERD, read http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/gerd/DS00967. GERD can be a silent killer; I have known people in their 30′s who have died of esophageal cancer due to untreated GERD.
I don’t know about pickle juice, but why don’t you try yogurt. It can reduce the amount of disease-causing microbes, and the toxins they produce, within the intestines.
