Spicy foods like Italian and Mexican.
my mom had a hiatal hernia, and i believe she had to cut out beer, dairy, red wine, most scidic foods…that type of thing
Nothing fatty or spicey or acidic. Have fun on your bland diet.
stay away from high fat high acid foods, ie fried foods, cheeses, saturated fats on meats, citrus fruit, tomatoes, vinegar or pickled foods. Try bland foods, pasta, potato, rice, bananas, apples, low fat milk, leafy green vegetables, lentils. try a glass of warm water with just a couple drops of lemon juice in the morning to stablise the stomach acid
chocolate in any form, sodas, spicy foods, coffee, black tea, acid juices like orange, fried and never over eat. too much food in the stomach is asking for problems.
Some people are also bothered by too much fiber. That depends on the individual.
Example of what you can eat, fresh fruit, fresh and cooked veggies, salads (watch what is in the dressing) you can eat tomatoes unless you notice they are causing a problem, meats, dairy, soy, nuts, whole grains, pasta, breads, pie, cookies, ice cream, puddings (not chocolate). there are more that you can eat then not. The doctor can give you a menu once diagnosed and on medication to limit the acid production.
My secret helper is drinking lots of water throughout the day. And try to find a nice hobby or interest that helps you to have some calm and peaceful time each day. Stress is the worse. take care.
don’t eat spicy foods, lettuce, ground beef….it will get stuck and prob cause you to choke
