Acid reflux is when there is hyper-acidity in your stomach juices, and these juices are flowing back in the esophagus. It can be caused by eating too much food, especially food reach with fats, and unhealthy food, then by alcohol, smoking etc. Also the infection of the stomach with the bacteria Helycobacter pylori plays an important role.
If you have this you should consult with a doctor.
Also you should avoid this type of food, alcohol and smoking. You should also take some antacids like Ranitidine or Omeprazol.
Gastroesophageal reflux disease, or GERD (also known as heart burn), occurs when the lower esophageal sphincter (LES) does not close properly and stomach contents reflux back up into the esophagus.
GERD/acid reflux/heart burn, is a condition where the acidic stomach contents back up into the esophagus causing pain in the chest area. This reflux usually occurs because the sphincter muscle between the esophagus and stomach is weakened. Standing or sitting after a meal can help reduce the reflux which causes heartburn.
If you experience these symptoms frequently, you NEED to see a dr. It’s possible to develop ulcers or some form of cancer related to the stomach or digestive system.
Best wishes to you <3
It’s the latest universal malady… commercials for antacids cause it.
Acid reflux is bile being forced up into the throat and nose cavities. One way to prevent this is – after eating a highly spiced meal, eat a couple of teaspoonsful of honey. This settles the stomach and prevents the bile from rising up.
