What is the best cure for Acid Reflux?

My mom recently has had this terrible acid feeling in her throught and her stomach has been like in severe pain. So what over the counter or home remedy would help get rid of all this stuff?

She could also try an antacid like Tums. If that doesnt work then move on to: Olmeprazole (Brand name: Prilosec); Ranitidine (Zantac); or Famotidine (Pepcid). They’re relatively inexpensive, over-the-counter drugs that alleviate acid reflux. Prescription versions of these drugs are also available, the key difference being that they come in higher dosages, depending on insurance it’s sometimes cheaper to get the prescription if it’s covered by your provider.
Monitor for blood in the throat as it may be a sign of an ulcer in which case she should see a doctor.
Acid reflux is tough to deal with and can cause considerable misery.
The best thing is to not do things that bring on the acid reflux such as :
( 1 ) not eating after 7 PM
( 2 ) avoid chocolate
( 3 ) avoid foods and drinks that tend to bring on the acid reflux
( 4 ) elevate head a bit when sleeping.

that have varying degrees of success with the acid reflux.
I take Maximum Strength OTC Prilosec for prevention.
I take liquid Maalox if prevention fails.
I also avoid eating chocolate.
Acid reflux and I are long-time combatants.

one heaping teaspoon of baking soda,,and down it with a glass of water..Then find out what you are allergic to and stop eating or takeing it,,(mine was asprin). ACID REFLUX is a allergy or a severe nervis condition…you should see a doctor.
bi carbonate of soda for home and the chemist has plenty of medications for reflux(zantac)
