does that mean the lungs are getting or are already scarred?
If I were having a heart attack, I would have been dead by now. It’s not the first time.

no you are probably having a heart attack! or angina. depending on your sex race and age you are explaining symptoms of that exactly. i would go to a doctor
Acid reflux has no effect on the lungs. It is more than likely you would have a lung disease such as asthma or emphysema or worse if you also smoke.
Acid reflux causes heart burn, and shortness of breath can be a symptom of heart burn. I have acid reflux as well, and it has more of an effect on your stomach than your lungs. If you are not already on some sort of medicine (prevacid, nexium, etc) than I would highly recommend having your doctor prescribe you a medication. If acid reflux gets bad enough, then it can cause stomach ulcers or stomach cancer, so I would start taking medicine as soon as possible! For now just avoid eating greasy and acidic foods, because they will cause your acid reflux to worsen!
No. Acid reflux sometimes causes acid to be regurgitated into the esophagus and possibly into the lungs. When that happens, your muscles contract which causes a constriction of the airway. This leads to the shortness of breath feeling. So basically if you fix the underlying cause of your acid reflux, then the shortness of breath should go away.
This is not to say that acid reflux does not cause any damage to the esophagus though. Over many years acid reflux can lead to changes in esophageal cells that may lead to cancer if not treated. If your acid reflux is bad enough and has been going on for a long time I would ask your doctor about getting an endoscopy (where they use a scope to look down into your esophagus) done just to make sure everything is okay.
Acid reflux basically, affects the heart. It cause heart burn in the first place that may lead to serious heart diseases such as heart attack…On the other hand, the lungs are not exempted from the damaging effects of acid reflux, too, which was the most probable cause of your shortness of breath…The best thing to do is to consult a doctor immediately…
